It brought back memories of the many Saturday nights spent playing bingo with my Mum, Dad, Auntie Doris and Uncle Ray at the American Legion club in Coventry, England, in the early 1960s.
Some bingo lingo I remember:
- Legs eleven – 11
- All the fours / Droopy drawers – 44
- Downing Street – 10
- One dozen – 12
- Unlucky for some – 13
- Valentine’s Day – 14
- Young and keen – 15
- Sweet sixteen / Never been kissed – 16
- Dancing queen – 17
