On St Patrick’s Day it is customary to wear shamrocks (a low-growing, cloverlike plant with three-lobed leaves, used as the national emblem of Ireland ) and/or green clothing or accessories (the “wearing of the green”).   According to legend, Saint Patrick used the three-leaved shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity to Irish pagans.  Happy St. Patrick’s Day 😉
