It’s been a year since Malala got shot in the head by the Taliban. I was wrecked in my heart! Yet I could not wait to hear about her unbelievable survival and emotional strength so I downloaded her book from itunes, I am Malala. “I speak for education of every child, in every corner of the world. There has been a discrimination in our society. We are speaking up for girls’ rights, we must not behave like men, like they have done in the past.” She is amazing! Her words, her story, are full of images, scents, and pictures about her love for her family, culture, and her country, Pakistan. #Malala – #PleaseRead
Unexpectedly, I rekindled with this author, Marianne Williamson, I am not sure why but there was definitely a reason. This woman is a Miracle Worker! I downloaded two audios from itunes A Return to Love Workshop and her audiobook A Return to Love, both contain the same message. A testimony about her search for a meaningful life and her discovery of God and a little blue Book called The Course of Miracles. #Marianne- #PleaseRead
So now to my new book just purchased from Barnes and Noble, my only hard copy ;-). I am enjoying touching it and scribbling it in. A Course in Miracles, 6 volumes, over a 1000, pages. I met this book many, many years ago, but didnt understand it or was ready to comprehend it. I am now! Hopefully I will complete it within a year 😉 There is one lesson a day (365). It reminds be of reading the bible, slowly but surely we get through the text and leave the book with more wisdom and understanding then when we started. Grateful to the authors who proclaimed they didnt write it! #PleaseRead
and to my son and daughter who I use to encourage to read, read read! Me/Ma: “Lights will go on in your mind if you read;” Response: “It’s already bright enough in there;” Me/Ma: “Really?” #PleaseRead /\s 😉
