This week I’ve started my virtual walk, pilgrimage, across the Camino de Santiago (the Way of St. James). “The Camino de Santiago, known in English as the Way of St. James, is a network of pilgrims’ ways or pilgrimages leading to the shrine of the apostle Saint James the Great in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain, where tradition has it that the remains of the saints are buried there” It is known to changed lives, and many say they meet St. James along the way! Although, walking it virtual is not the same as being there physically, under these circumstances, but still it is such a wonderful experience looking at the photos of the villages and reading about it’s history. Here is the virtual walk’s website “Camino for Good”
My pilgrim’s passport will show you I have walked 10 miles of the 484.7 mile pilgrimage walking, starting at St Pied de Port, walking through the villages of Hunto and Orisson. I do hope I can get there next year and meet Saint James!
Till next time blog, #whispersinmyheart
