Ready to accomplish those goals for 2018? That’s a “Yes” from me! I plan to of course, to work on my health: be fitter and healthier; my finances: to be debt free (long term goal), not use my credit cards; and continue, always to work on my spiritual walk! but, I wanted to set a new goal this year, to spend more time on fun pursuits (oodles of creative projects) and stop spending excessive hours in the office working and working. I wont be saying this on my deathbed, “If only I had spent more time at the office.” Nope! So, to more fun, a primary goal for 2018! In regards to setting goals it is formally said “Our desires and goals act as fuel, propelling us toward new horizons. Without something to strive for, we stagnate and become stuck in ruts of our own making because we are unsure of what to do next. Goals are the dreams that we are willing to work for. When we set goals, we take responsibility for our lives and choose to wholeheartedly devote ourselves to our aspirations. Even if we only take the smallest steps toward achieving our ambitions, it is vital that we actively pursue our goals rather than just daydreaming about them. Having goals makes us feel good because it adds a sense of purpose and direction to our lives.”
Desiring to create new opportunities gives one a feeling of optimism and new energy to make dreams a reality. Although, more fun is a primary goal for 2018 it is important to maintain those other short-, mid-, and long-term goals, (health, financial, spiritual, etc) in check. Dividing goals into something that is manageable can also be very motivating. In addition, daily goal setting helps one concentrate on what one is trying to accomplish, (keep those goals written down and in sight) If you use daily affirmations and set intentions they can only propel in reaching one’s goals. It’s a done deal!
