Week Nine
“Tornados – A Violent Whirlwind”
Tornados ripped through the Midwest this week, the news read that 34 million people were in the “high” or “moderate” risk categories for severe weather on Friday. A very tuff week for many. When I read about people in the towns that were severly damaged the message I read several times, “Thank God my family survived, we will rebuild.” I can only feel compassion and empathy for all of these families, unless one goes through such devastation it is hard to truly understand their feelings. Reading the news about tornados and hardships it really puts my tornado work week into perspective. It was a week of being out-of-balance, working long and hard into the night, feeling anxious, and stressed over a project. When Friday hit I realized that everything is relative and my tornado work week was no way as devasting or could compare to those who had lost family members and homes. It was a tuff week for many! in the midst of this week I remain grateful for many moments:
1) A wonderful lunch with work colleagues.
2) Recognizing the beauty of getting older.
3) Having money to pay bills.
4) Telephone conversations with friends and family.
5) Authenticity.
6) Never having to personally deal with horrific situations. I watched the Oprah channel this week about women who were victims of sexual abuse and their tragic outcomes.
7) Simplicity
) Ordering my favorite Amway products, i.e. skincare, soy protein drinks, so many natural products. I cant wait for them to arrive.
9) Speaking with by mother and kids. Just listening to their voices.
10) Laughing so much with a friend as we cracked-up watching the movie “Just Go with It”
You did it girlfriend! 🙂
